Tri-Tran multi frequency technology:

All new B&D Controll-A-Door openers now feature unique Tri-Tran multi frequency operation. Tri-Tran has an automatic frequency change function, with each of its three frequencies transmitted having a much tighter bandwidth.

The frequency changes every 22mS during a transmission and reception. So if there is another signal interfering on a part of this frequency spectrum, the automatic change ensures the signal still reaches the opener. 

 This makes Tri-Tran up to one thousand times better, in terms of in band interference rejection, than a typical FM receiver, and up to a million times better than some AM receivers.

Instructions for Programming: 

The opener can only operate from remotes that have been programmed into its receiver.

The receiver needs to learn the codes of any transmitter that will be used with the opener.

Up to fourteen (14) codes can be stored in the receiver's memory. 

1.      Put the battery in the remote 

2.      Press the CODE SET button and release. The CODE SET LED will illuminate to indicate the opener is in Code Learn mode. If a valid code is not stored within 15 seconds the opener will exit Code Learn. 

3.      Press the remote button (one of four) that you want to control the door. The CODE SET LED will begin to flash. 

4.      Press the same remote button again. The CODE SET LED will illuminate for one second and then go out. 

5.      The remote is now coded to operate the door - press the button to test.
